Razorback Recap

Wow, do I ever wish we could have seen that game televised!! Wow, a win 66-7 over N Texas. Yes, we should have stomped them because N Texas isn't that good but the stats of this game are awesome. Casey Dick threw a 61 yard touchdown pass, the highest of his career. Way to go Casey!! And of course Jones and DMac were on top of it!! They even put in Nathan Emert as quarterback in the 3rd quarter. We definitely need someone in to get some experience in case something happens to Casey. The team needed a big win like this after the two big upsets to Alabama and Kentucky. But I am very upset about something and it isn't my hogs. I am so upset with our so called devout hog fans. Yes, it may be time for a new coach but do we really have to say the things that we are saying about Houston. Yes, he is going to keep to his running game until Casey Dick gains some confidence to throw the ball. Yes, Houston may have made some bad calls but aren't we all human. We all make mistakes, especially under a great deal of pressure. Attendance at Fayetteville was 66,343, the lowest since we went to 4-7 in 2005. What does that tell you, we only stay loyal to our razorbacks when we are having a good season. Well I am proud to say that I stick with my razorbacks through thick and thin!! They have my 100 percent support. Say what you want to say about Houston, he is a good coach. He has his faults but who doesn't. No one is perfect. UofA doesn't have the money that FL, Auburn, LSU or many of the other schools do in the SEC. And that hurts us when it comes time to recruit players or coaches. So lets all come together as a state and support our HOGS no matter what kind of a season it is. Ok, I will get off my soap box now!!!

FINALLY!!

Grey's Anatomy's season premier is tonight. I am so excited. It has been a long summer without Grey's!! I watched Private Practice last night. It was even better then I expected. I am not a big tv person but my Thursdays night do revolve around Grey's and now my Wednesday nights will revolve around Private Practice. It will be interesting to see how Grey's will be without Burke and Addison. What is going to happen with McDreamy and Meredith. OH the burning questions!! I can't wait until eight o'clock tonight!! If you watch it tonight let me know what you thought of the first episode and what you think we are in store for this season!!

Landon's New Toy

This is like the jumperoo that I was talking about a few posts ago. Well we got Landon this one at Walmart this afternoon. He has outgrown his swing and is so bored at home. So we broke down and got it. He loves it!! We laughed so hard at him tonight!!! The chair even spins around so he can move around to all the toys. Why does he need to be mobile when he has this thing?!!! It is so fun to watch him get into jumping in this because Landon is so laid back that you really don't see him get too excited over much other then a bottle and food!! So I think it was a good investment!!

We were looking at carseats while we were at Walmart for him. He is outgrowing the infant seat. Man, I forgot how expensive they are!! We found a few that we liked but of course I had to come home and do my research on the internet.

Tyler is going to a dinosaur park tomorrow with the CDC. I wish I could go with her!! She is so excited!! She asked me if I could go with her and it broke my heart to tell her no. But even if I wasn't in school I more then likely would not be able to go because of work. Actually, if I wasn't in school she wouldn't be going because we would be at home. It is a no win situation I guess!!

After we went to Walmart we stopped at Taco Bell for dinner. I noticed David was taking forever getting our food but didn't put too much into it. Well he sits down and tells me that we got our food for free!! Their credit/debit machine wasn't working so they told David not to worry about it. That Taco Bell has for sure earned my business!!! Most places would make you go get the money and bring it back to them!! I was really impressed!!

Well that is enough of our exciting afternoon, I am beat!! I hope everyone has a great week!!!

Razorback Recap

I am speechless!! I don't know what to say. It started so good and then like that right before halftime the momentum changed and it seemed to go downhill from there. Then a very major B.S. call that I really am to peeved to go into right now. I am just going to let this recap end here because I am too ticked off right now!! But really ticks me off is that this is hurting McFadden's chances for the Hiesman Trophy. UGH!!!!!

An Afternoon at the park

Hopefully the pictures show up this time!! Bare with me, I am still trying to figure this all out!! Last night David went fishing with his supervisor so I volunteered to watch his little girl who is Tyler's age. We went to the park across the street. The kids had the best time. Landon loved the baby swings. He laughed and kept going hi hi hi hi!! He eventually even fell asleep in the swing. It is so tough being a baby and having someone swing you until you fall asleep!! We went back this afternoon so David could watch Landon swing and so I could get some pictures. We didn't stay too long because it was so hot so Landon was starting to get fussy!! The heat really irritates his eczema. We don't have too many plans for the weekend. The Hogs play tonight so you know where we will be!!

Very Random!!

Landon's daycare has a stationery jumper like this one. Well they keep telling us how much Landon loves this thing!! They put him in it yesterday and he jumped and jumped and was laughing the whole time until all the girls were crying they were laughing so hard at him.

I think we are going to have to invest in this thing. He has been wearing himself out at daycare jumping in this thing. He comes home, eats then goes right to bed and sleeps until we wake him up the next morning. We are talking about 14 hours straight through!! Hopefully we can get one at Walmart then I can take a video of him jumping in it. I wanted to get one that you could put in a doorway but we don't have anywhere downstairs to put it. Tyler had one that went in the doorway when she was a baby and loved it.

Not too much is going on here. I am finally getting over my allergies. Man, I have been miserable!! UGH!! And school has been so busy that I just got into the dr yesterday. She gave me so many drugs that I felt like a drug store when I left!!

Well if we were still in UT, and David had not crosstrained then he would be in Iraq right now. Acutally he would be getting home this weekend. So say a prayer for 729 ACS on a safe trip home. It is hard to believe that we aren't there anymore. We are just trying to live each day to the fullest because we now May will be here before we know it and then David will be gone!! Heck, where has September gone to?

Our Weekend

Well I have been miserable for the past month with allergies and they keep getting worse. I can barely even see as I type this due to all the crud in my eyes!! It feels so good to be back in the country but at the same time these allergies have got to end!! I almost slept through the razorback game yesterday, well that is until it made a complete 180. I will discuss that in a few. David's allergies are bothering him also but meds to tend to help him. I have taken everything with no relief. Although Nyquil is quickly becoming my best friend. But I will keep trucking on and hopefully I will get some relief soon.

If you didn't watch the game yesterday then man did you ever MISS out!! The first half was pretty brutal but the second half was all razorbacks. I don't know what Houston told them at half time but he needs to tell them that before game starts. Casey was actually throwing good passes that were getting caught. The dream team was back in action!! And Petyon Hillis reminded us that he is just as much a part of the team as Jones and McFadden. Way to go Boys. We may not have won but they did make Alabama work for that last touchdown. It was a good game. Yes there were some really BAD plays on our part but I am going to let them slide because they showed what a good team we are. Heck, cut them some slack. After last season a lot of drama unfolded and they had it all weighing on their shoulders. Talk about some pressure!! I hope they have a really good week of practice because Alabama is going to be nothing compared to who we are playing next week, Kentucky. One word to my HOGS: FOCUS!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

There are still good people out there....

I have been having allergy problems for the last three weeks. This morning it was all I could do to stay awake. Before I went to class I decided to buy a coke from the vending machine. I had exactly one dollar. So I put my dollar in and go to push coke. To my surprise it was a coke machine with no cokes. It only sold those nasty energy drinks!! UGH!! And they were $2. So I started hitting the button trying to get my change back. NO LUCK!! I guess I was banging on the machine pretty hard when another student stopped and handed me a dollar. I looked at him a bit confused. He was a foreign exchange student and I could tell he couldn't speak a lot of English. I told him that was okay he could keep his dollar, but he insisted that I take it. Of course I thanked him over and over again and he smiled and walked off. I couldn't believe that he handed a total stranger a dollar bill. I guess I looked like I really needed that caffeine. Which is funny because I am not a big coke person!! So then I thought about the movie pay it forward or that new commercial, I forget what it is advertising (insurance I think). I never got my dollar bill back so I guess the next person was very lucky to get their energy drink at half price!! I hope to pay back his kindness to someone I see having a rough day!! I hope you will do the same!!

Trying out the BLOG WORLD!!

Okay, I have been wanting to get into this blogging for awhile now. However, finding a blog host that was easy enough to understand or free was another obstacle. So bare with me because this is all new to me. I am hoping to keep this updated at least weekly. Hopefully I will be able to figure out how to post pics on here also.

School for me is getting really busy. It is one paper after another!! But I am loving it. I just started my second week doing my field experience with my second grade class. I love it!! I go to the school twice a week. Today was my third time and I am already learning so much!! I have been placed with an awesome teacher so that is a relief!! It is funny what all a second grader will tell you about their parents. Remind me not to give Tyler too much info on David and I or let her overhear us having a private conversation. NO, I am not hearing *** talks but I might as well!! Second grade is a fun age and I am really enjoying it. I am also at the school that Tyler will start kindergarten at next year. That makes it even more interesting getting a sneak peak of what she will go through next year.

Tyler is loving her dance class. They are having their first recital in January or February. We got a sneak peak of possible costumes last week. I cannot wait!! Tyler just soaks up everything in that class. I am so happy we have found something for her that she enjoys so much. It is really becoming a passion for her and I hope it continues in the years to come.

Landon is really starting to do a lot more. He is sitting up better and better every day. He is even holding his bottle, Thanks MOM!! I must confess that my mom got him to FINALLY achieve this milestone. But what can I say, they always do something for someone else other then mom or dad!! We are still discovering more foods that he is allergic to. Last week he broke out in hives. I couldn't figure out what was causing this new set of hives. I was reading a book on peanut allergies, THE PEANUT ALLERGY ANSWER BOOK (I believe that is the title, a must read for anyone w/ severe allergies) and it turns out that peas and green beans are in the same legume family as peanuts. Most people can be allergic to peanuts but not have a reaction to green beans or peas. You notice that I say MOST!! Not the case for our poor Landon. So this week we are starting all over on introducing foods to him. One veggie for 3 days until we know for sure what he can have or cannot have. It was hard to tell before because his eczema was so bad, due to being allergic to his formula, that we couldn't tell a difference when we introduced foods. So this has all been a learning experience. The pediatrics office on base knows Landon by name when we walk in!! OUR POOR BABY!! But hey, it could be worse!! But thank God for this book. I am really learning a lot from it. Although I am having a hard time reading it in between all my school work.

David is David!! Just going to work and then playing mom when he gets home. I feel so bad because many nights he comes home from work and cooks, bathes the kids and anything else that needs to be done. But he doesn't seem to mind. He tells me that it is his payback for all the deployments and TDYs. I don't call it payback but at least a little insight on what I do go through!!

I guess this is all of what we have been up to. I will try to get pics and Tyler's Calling the Hogs video up soon!! It may be the end of the week, school is busy this week with speeches, research and tests. SAY A LITTLE PRAYER!! It was so slow and now it has all piled up in one week!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
