Tonight was Tyler's first music program at school!! She did an awesome job and we were so proud of her! She was cheesing and really putting on a show!

Please say a prayer.....

Please say a prayer for a couple in NWA whose daughter was born today at a whopping 9lbs 12oz. I do not know the family personally but I have been reading her blog before she even got pregnant. Click here to read their story. Their little girl, Harper, was having difficulties and has been airlifted to AR Children's Hospital.

So this is what Alaska must feel like

I got this email from school today...............

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory, in effect from 9 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, for an area that includes the University of Central Missouri. An Arctic cold front will move across Missouri today, and bitterly cold temperatures are expected by this evening with strong northwest winds producing wind chills around zero this afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will drop between zero and 5 below tonight and wind chill is expected to fall between 15 and 20 below zero, and remain colder than 15 below through midday Thursday. Such wind chills will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia, if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, dress warmly, and be sure to wear a hat and gloves.

Seriously, what is the incentive to crawl out of bed tomorrow. This southern girl cannot handle the extreme cold. I have gotten used to the 30's but this weather is too much!!

FINALLY!!!

My awesome husband sent an email to Landon's pediatrician yesterday asking if she had heard about an appointment with Dermatology. Just before lunch we receive a phone call from the clinic asking if we can be at Children's at 1:30 tomorrow. Dermatology had a cancellation and they are giving the appointment to Landon!! HHHHMMMM, let me think about this one for a minute!! DUH!!! Unfortunately I cannot go. :-(I have a doctors appt on base and the exact same time and I start back to school tomorrow! Hopefully we will get some miracle drug to help control lil man's eczema. The clinic may have gotten very annoyed with me last week and probably love receiving emails from David but we got an appt didn't we!! Who cares about being the CRAZY mom anymore, NOT ME!!!

Oh, I keep getting emails about comments about what you read on my blog!! Leave me a comment on here!! :-) If you do not have a gmail account you can leave an anonymous comment, but don't forget to leave your name!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday David

Yesterday was David's 29th Birthday!! Happy Birthday to a wonderful husband and father!! Tyler and I made breakfest (well we ate it for dinner) and a cake for daddy. Landon didn't have a nap that afternoon so he had a late one while we ate breakfest and cake. Which worked out considering we were on eggs overload! David was supposed to have the day off but that never really works out as planned. Here are a few pictures from the big day!

Tyler added her scarf around the cake to make for a beautiful presentation. I have no idea where she thought of that but I think there may be a good future ahead of her!!
Disclaimer: We are in no way professional bakers so please ignore how unprofessional this cake may look!!

Tyler loves birthdays. She told all of her friends at school that it was her daddy's birthday and they were invited to his birthday party!! She was so happy to share the day with her daddy!

Well, it is that time again!!!

Sorry for the glare of the flash. OOPS!! I am actually ready to get back in the swing of things. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and realize that next year is my last year!! WHEW!!! Well that is if I survive taking 19 hrs this semester!!!

I would also like to say thank you to Heather at www.spewdfree.com. She replied to my post on Landon's allergies. Her webiste has so much wonderful information and two different lines of food that I can find in Lee's Summit that are allergy free for Landon!! I never thought that he would get to eat macarroni and cheese!! I am learning through this process that the doctors on base are not going to help me. But that is a long story!! Mothers going through the same thing are going is where I will recieve support and education!!

Also, I need to give a shout out to Tyler!! She made all pluses on her report card!! A plus is basically the same as an A. It is the highest mark you can recieve!! We are so proud of her!!!

Allergies, Please Help

Against my better judgement, I am posting pictures of Landon. Yesterday I got a call from daycare and said that he had broken out in hives. I rushed him to the clinic to hear the nurse tell me to hive him Benadryl. Yes, I know that!! Before you see the pictures, let me give lil man's history. Around 3 months old, Landon started suffering from eczema. We were stationed in Utah at the time. When Landon was 5 months old, we moved to Missouri. His eczema got much worse. At 7 months old, Landon broke out in hives for the first time. The next day we saw an allergist and he was tested for milk, soy, eggs, wheat, and peanut allergies. The tests came back that he was allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts. When he turned one, he was tested for the same allergens again and it came back that he was just allergic to eggs and peanuts. We have been faithful to keeping him away from these two foods. We have accidentally given him eggs (foods that we had no clue had eggs in them) and he broke out. But he has never been exposted to any kinds of nuts. However, the doctors say that his eczmea should be clear. I fear that he has more allergies but they doctors only test him for the same allergens. And our peditrician has been trying to get him into dermatology at the children's hospital here with no luck. Our poor little guy is miserable and it seems like we are getting no where in getting help. Below are the pictures that I took just this morning, he broke out yesterday afternoon.

Doesn't he look miserable?!

This morning, my mom called and was telling me about a segment that Joan Early did on children with severe allergies and eczema. However, they haven't posted the story on their website yet. I am wanting to send Joan Early an email but their emails are not posted on the website and you can only seen a 1000 character email on the website! If anyone has any info how to get in touch with her I would appreciate it. We just want to get our boy itch and allergry free. If you know anyone who suffers from allergies and eczema like this please pass my blog along to them and have them contact me!! THANK YOU!!!

My Future Grandchildren's Names.

Tyler: "Mommy when I grow up and have kids you are going to be really old."

Me: "Yes, thanks for the reminder. How many kids are you going to have?"

Tyler: "3"

Me: "What are you going to name your children?"

Tyler: "Charlotte"

Me: "What a beautiful name, I love it! How about the other two?"

Tyler: "Bon and Carsa. Bon is a boy's name."

Me: "Uhm, ok."

I guess one good name out of three is hopeful!

Happy New Years

I still cannot believe that it is 2009 already!! Happy New Years!! I unfortunately did ring in the new year but not because I wanted too! I swear I have insomnia. And when I was finally getting to sleep around 2:00, Landon woke up at 2:50. WHAT THE HECK!! Maybe we will take a good ole New Years Nap in a few hours.

We don't have any big plans for the day. David had to work! Last night we were talking to Tyler about the approaching new year and explaining all about New Years Resolutions. She decided that she is going to make her body healthy. Those were her words! We made one for Landon - to be potty trained! I made one for David that I will not post on here but we will see how long it lasts. He didn't agree willingly! I am really not sure what my resolution will be. I know that I want to take more pictures of my children in their everyday activities and try to survive my last full year of school!! Maybe I will also try and keep the blog updated more! We will see, school seems to get in the way!

We hope 2009 brings you health, joy, and everything you wish for! Happy New Year!
