Give Credit Where Credit is Due

Today I went to Tyler's class to do a project on conservation with a couple of the kids in there!! This project is for a paper in my Child Development class. To my surprise, all the kids that I tested had the concept down!! Those kids are too smart which isn't really helping my paper!! What can ya do though? Tyler was my first guinea pig. She got all of the concepts right. One of the kids told her that she was so smart. Tyler said, "I watch Little Einsteins, they made me smart." Mommy's reply, "Gee thanks!!!!!!!" I swear there is never a dull moment in my life!! Can't a person get a little credit here and there!!

On another note, when is gas going to go back down!! If it keeps going up then we are seriously going to have to consider buying a car!! We want to buy my mom's Armada but not at these gas prices!! Sorry, I just had to take a moment to vent about that!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Is the weekend over already? Seriously, can't there be 3 days to the weekend? Saturday was rainy and gloomy all day!! We took advantage of the crappy day and cleaned the house!! For once, we don't have a single load of dirty clothes!! I feel so productive!! Today was a beautiful day!! David mowed the yard for the first time this season!! Man, I missed the smell of fresh cut grass!! Landon rolled around the grass and Tyler was just running around!! I took advantage of the kids entertaining themselves and started washing the Explorer. (I don't think that my husband could be more proud of me!! Who needs good grades, he only cares about a clean ride!! I swear I married my father!!) When David was done with the yard, he vacuumed while I armoroled (not sure if I spelled that right but you know what I am talking about!!)!! At least I will have a clean ride for, well maybe, 24 hours. Storms are headed our way tomorrow!! UGH!! We took the kids on two walks today!! Hey we got to take advantage of the warm weather, it is back to rain for the rest of the week. I am starting to think that we are back in England!! Later this afternoon we went to Sedalia and David and Tyler got some ice cream at Baskin Robbins, then we went to Lowe's. I found these two planters below. (I took these pics with my new cell phone. Not too shabby!!)

I know they just look like big bowls but they are actually planters and they are heavy!! They had them in this aqua blue and chocolate brown. My favorite colors and also the colors of my house!! I really want to go back and get at least one of them and plant a palm tree in it!! We found lots of stuff for the house!! I love Lowe's!! Tomorrow it is back to another week of school and work!! Only two weeks of school before finals!! I wish I could say that I have a break but I go straight to summer school!!

Please continue to keep my family in your prayers!! Things are not looking good for my grandfather. They are letting him go home on Tuesday because there is nothing they can do for him.

Welcome Home Max

Over the weekend, Max was throwing up then he just laid around the house and wouldn't eat or drink. On Tuesday he still wasn't any better so we took him to the vet!! Two hundred dollars later, it turns out he just had a virus!! We seriously should look into doggy insurance! HA!! But it was worth the money!! He is back to himself! He had lost weight since his last visit in Nov so the vet put him on different dog food. He said that Max may have an intolerance to the dog food that he was on. Hopefully he will fatten up soon!! But we do know that he isn't wormy!! They wormed him and he has his last treatment for that tomorrow but as far as they could see, no worms!! So that is a relief!! We are so happy that he is feeling better!!!

Wise Beyond Her Years......

Tonight we were watching American Idol. They were showing a preview to tomorrow night's American Idol Gives Back. Tyler asked me, "mom why are they asking money for those kids?" I explained to her that some kids do not have parents that can give them lots of pretty clothes and toys. She thought about it for a minute then said, "I am lucky because I have parents and I have lots of clothes, toys and movies." I told her yes, she is right. She then said, "Can we give them some money?" How could I say no to that. So tomorrow while we watch American Idol I will give a donation while Tyler is watching and we will watch and explain to her how lucky we are to have all that we have.

Playing Catch Up

I am trying to play catch up with my pictures!! Here are some pictures from Easter weekend!! My camera went dead so I didn't get any pictures of Tyler hunting eggs!! It was freezing too!! Landon has been sick with a double ear infection for the past week. He is back to normail now!! Hopefully this will not be a trend and we revisit the road we went down with Tyler!!
