Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!

We had a great weekend. Saturday was my birthday and Tyler's first dance recital. David surprised me with a Cannon Rebel XTI digital SLR camera. I was so excited. I am learning how to use it slowly. Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon. Tyler did so good at her recital. We were so proud of her. She did all of her dance moves and hammed it up on the stage!! She was born to dance!! Here are a few pictures.

Landon loved Tyler's recital also. He had a blast dancing to the music!! They said that he would throw his arms in the air and wave them around and sway from side to side with the beat of the music. Daddy already said no to dance lessons. I tried to tell him that dance helps with the balance for sports!! After the recital, Tyler decided that we would eat at McDonalds.

On Sunday we went to the Rainforest Cafe at Overland Park Mall. We love the Rainforest Cafe. It has awesome food and the neatest atmosphere. We heard about a dinosaur resteraunt like the rainforest cafe so we will have to try it out next.

We had a great weekend!! WE hope everyone else had a great weekend also!!!

In the news

That is my dad in the picture. He is on the front page of the Pine Bluff Commercial today. He has tried for many years to not to get in the paper and they finally caught him!! Sometimes his back was in the picture or we could tell it was him but no one else could. He isn't too excited about his little fame but I think that it is pretty cool for Tyler and Landon to look at and know what their Peepaw does!! Every time Tyler sees a firetruck she says that her peepaw lives on a firetruck. Why he lives on it, I am not really sure. But she has been to the station many times while dad was at work. She loves getting on the firetruck and listening to the sirens. In Missouri the firetrucks are yellow. This confuses Tyler so much because Peepaw's truck is red. My mom has a picture of Tyler and I standing on the firetruck when we were really young. I can't wait to get one of Tyler and Landon. I am sure she has one of all three of us but I always remember the one of Courtney and I.

Finals are done!!

Finals are officially over and I am worn out!! Pending one grade, it looks like I have all A's for the semester!! YAY!! I cannot believe it. Going back to school, after being out for 4 years, was an adjustment!! I know that I could not have done it without my family!! David was a savior!! Bless his heart, he had to cook more than normal and help out around the house more while I was studying. But he never complained because he knew that it was important that I got that paper done or studied for that big test!! My mom was my inspiration!! I knew that I could go back if she could go to school after being out for many years, have a full time job and a part time job!! She is a very strong person and I strive to be just like her every day!! Cathy would always tell me funny stories of her second graders that would make me laugh and really get me excited to have my own class one day. My second grade class at Whitmeman Elementary was the best. I miss them already!! And Tyler and Landon are a major part of why I am going back to school. I look at them when I am frustrated at school and then I know it is all worth it!! Many people told me that it would be too hard to go back to school with two kids or I would be taking time away from them!! I may have to sacrifice some time away from them but for the most part I haven't missed out on anything!! I know right now is the best time for me to go back to school before they are older and really need me!! I love David, Tyler and Landon and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family to support me while I am back in school!! I know that this will all pay off when I have the same hours that they are in school and I get those summers off!! Well maybe not the whole summer but hey it is better then what I got now!! I am sorry I am blabbing about me!! But it is just so important to me to thank those that I love so much!! Now it is time to get the house back in order and get ready for Christmas!! YAY!!
